Installing Minecraft[edit | edit source]
To install Minecraft, you'll need two things:
- An Xbox gamertag
- Minecraft client software
Xbox Gamertag[edit | edit source]
You'll need a Microsoft Live Xbox account to play Minecraft. Registering for a Live account is free. To register and choose your Minecraft gamertag, visit:

We suggest creating an account especially for your child, rather than them use yours.
Once you have registered with Microsoft and have an Xbox gamertag, email that gamertag to cubmaster@homewoodscouting.org so that we can add it to the approved list.
