Hello, Scouts!
As I’m sure you’re aware, because of safety concerns, we’re not meeting in person for tomorrow’s pack meeting. Instead, we’re conducting the meeting by Zoom video conferencing! The meeting starts promptly at 4 pm. Please wear your full uniform!!!
More details and a link to the meeting will be sent to all Cub Scout families by email.
If you’re not yet part of our group but would like to attend our virtual pack meeting, you’re more than welcome!
Just email us at pack3807bsa@gmail.com and we’ll send you a link. There is no membership obligation to participate.
A few things to note:
- The pack meeting will be only about 20 minutes. Committee Chair Dave and myself will conduct all of our ceremonies by Zoom video from First English, where we will be practicing social distancing and not getting closer than 6 feet from each other.
- After the short pack meeting, Tigers and Wolves will break off into den meetings. I do not believe there is a Bear meeting tomorrow. At virtual den meetings, you’ll be working with your family member to complete your adventure with your den leader’s virtual help, and be able to see and talk to all your fellow den mates.
- For the foreseeable future there will be no way to physically distribute advancement awards, so your den leader will be awarding you your loops on Scoutbook, which is our online scouting tool. All of your awards will be on Scoutbook for you to see. Your den leader will give you more information on Scoutbook.
- During your den meeting, your den leader will also go over other changes to our format, and how you can continue to advance by safely earning adventure loops at home with your family.
Finally, I’d like to send a big thank you to Den Leaders Justin and Jenn and their den of Tigers for providing our video conferencing capabilities this meeting!
If you have any questions, please email me, Committee Chair Dave or your den leader. See you tomorrow at 4 pm!
Yours in Scouting,
Cubmaster Matt
