Hey, Cub Families!
For the very first time since February, 2020… Pack 3807 is back in person! Man, I’ve missed all of you so much! How am I going to recognize all of you? Sure, I see your faces each month over Zoom… but I don’t know how tall you’ve grown, now do I???
Now back in the olden golden days of Cub Scouting, when in-person meetings were actually a thing, we met first in our individual dens to work on adventure loops and then reconvened as a pack afterward for a ceremony or two plus a whole load of fun activities. We’re going to give that a try again this weekend – let’s see if we still have a little of that ol’ scout “muscle memory” left in us!
What: Cub Scout Den & Pack Meetings – In Person!!!
When: Sunday, May 23rd @ 4pm
Where: Front Lawn of First English – 3807 N. Charles Street
We’ll be sittin’ picnic-style to stay safely distanced, so bring a blanket or two. Please bring masks as well – they’ll be required whenever distancing is not possible. Snacks, water and sanitizing wipes will be provided. (Those with special dietary requirements should bring their own snacks.)
Remember – and this is really important – 100% of Cub Scouts are required to wear 100% of their field uniform, which means the shirt with proper patches, hat, neckerchief, slide and belt. We’ll be doing a uniform spot check! 😀 No, really – we will. Seriously. But if you’re missing anything, don’t despair. Simply reply-all to this email by Friday night to let us know what you need and we’ll have it waiting for you at the meeting.
Bring friends! You need to be registered to wear the uniform and earn rank, but you don’t need to be registered to attend and have fun.
I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE YOU ON SUNDAY!!!!!!
Yours in Scouting,
Cubmaster Matt
