Our scout’s don’t just sit in front of a screen and listen to yet another school lesson. We do hands-on projects such as blast home-made rocket ships, build and fly model airplanes, create chemical concoctions and explore area parks. We go on virtual outdoor adventures with 360 degree live interactive streaming, and we’ve even developed a social distance hiking and camping program to allow scouts and their families to enjoy the benefits of scouting and the company of den-mates while playing it safe.
Our program emphasizes education and experience that a child can really use, such as science, woodworking, engineering and sportsmanship. It also instills life skills such as good citizenship, character and physical fitness. It gives them a strong sense of belonging that can only come from a tight-knit band of comrades. Most importantly, it’s a way for scouts’ and the caring adults in their life to spend time together, and build and strengthen those bonds.
How do we make virtual into hands-on? We supply all the required materials necessary for our projects, distributed on a quarterly basis. We make it easy for our scouts’ caring adults to help without sacrificing too much of their valuable time. All of our leaders are
